As I was waking in the morning, I heard a voice in my spirit that said, "Read James." I knew it was referring to the bible. As I laid lazily in pursuit of 10 more minutes to rest, my mind began to survey all that I knew in the book of James. I began to recite the most common themes in my head such as: Revenge is mine, Be quick to listen and Do not forget when you look in to the mirror. I suddenly thought, James is not one of my go to books.  Luckily for me it was one of the Lord's. He knew how anxious and impatient I had been in praying.

Here is what I received in my spirit from James chapter 1:1-18.  (Please read before moving on if possible)

The Spirit revealed this message to me in this manner: There are three kinds of people depicted. First, a poor man who is quite aware of his impoverish position and has fully realized that everything comes from the Lord. Secondly, another poor man who again is quite aware of his impoverish position and knew that he was unable meet his own needs. However, this man lacks the ability to be still (patience). Finally, the rich man who thinks he knows exactly how to satiate his desires without any help from the Lord.

The Message to Man #1

I Am the Lord thy God. I want to give you  many of my precious gifts, everything for this life so you may exist in godliness. I have chosen to give you a new birth through my word of truth. However, your faith  must be tested in order to be rewarded. I want you to exercise perseverance (a steadfast spirit). When the work of perseverance is completed, you will become rich(spiritual) not lacking anything. During this time of testing when things get really challenging, you may feel confused, abandon, and weak. Come to me and asked for wisdom, get understanding that surpasses all knowledge and I will set you free into the presence of my joy. When you ask, do not doubt my abilities nor my desire to answer you. I will open your eyes and you will be able to take pride (solace) in your high position which is your glorious riches that are found in me. Do this and you will be blessed. I will give to you the crown of life that I have promised to those who love me.

The Message to Man #2

I Am the Lord thy God. Yes, everything good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows. "So I advise you to buy gold from me--gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. (Rev 3:18 NLT). You have not contemplated my compassion or my faithfulness for you. So now you have easily become a prey for your enemy. He has sniffed out your ignorance and has enticed you with the passions of your flesh. See how he has begun to tempt you. Know my child that this is not from me. I the Lord do not tempt my children. Temptation is from the one who wishes to destroy you. He will first feed your hunger with counterfeit bread that appears to satisfy, but only for a moment. Your lack of perseverance in me only produce confusion. You now believe that you have two fathers. When one says no, you go to the other. Two fathers, two minds. You are now double minded. Do not believe that you will get anything from me. You will feed on the bread of confusion. Oh, you of little faith. There is no place to take pride in, because you are neither hot nor cold. Continue in your double minded ways and your passion will give birth to sin; and sin, when it is fully grown, will gives birth unto death.

The Message to Man #3

You say, 'I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. (Revelation 3:17 NLT) Look around at all that reflects temporary beauty, see how easily the scorching heat of the sun quickly withers the plants destroying its beauty? So also you will fade away even while you attend business as usual. You have yet to understand that every good and perfect gift is from me; yet you go to another. I tell you, take pride in your humiliation, your man-made glory is all that's left since you will pass away like a wild flower.

Summary: It is God's intention for his people to learn to wait on his timing. Our ability to wait is a sign of a character that has been fortified by staying close to God in times of trial. What anchors us in times of trial is what Peter commanded the church in 2 Peter 3:18, growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Those who wait on the Lord's perfect timing are never put to shame once the Holy Spirit has poured out the love of God in  to their hearts, Romans 5:5. Do not turn to solutions outside of the will of God. There is a time and season for everything and yours is just around the corner.

The Message to All Man

2 Chronicles 7:14

.... if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Lamentations 3:17-26

17 I have been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.

18 So I say, "My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the LORD."

19 I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.

20 I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.

21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:
22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."
25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
